Jonathan Alder’s girls hoop squad ran out to a 27-4 lead by the end of the first quarter and coasted to a 76-24 victory over Urbana.
The second quarter continued with the blowout.
Urbana managed just a pair of points during the period and trailed 47-6 by the halftime break.
The Hillclimbers finally reached double digits in the third stanza.
Alder (5-0), however, took a 66-10 margin into the final eight minutes of action.
The Lady Pioneers’ scoring balance was once again highlighed.
Sydney Bourquin led the attack with 20 points.
She was joined in double figures by Abby Jones-15 and Sophie Zawodny-12.
Alder will return to action by hosting Bellefontaine on Saturday.
The junior varsity contest is scheduled to tip off at noon.

Cardinals sweep
The Triad middle school boys basketball teams swept visiting Southeastern on Wednesday.
Caleb Thomas tallied 17 points and Holden LeVan added 12 during the seventh-grade’s 46-21 triumph.
The eighth-grade squad won 48-37.
The Cardinals were led by Kane Bailey with 16 points.
Matthew Yocom added 14.
