Jonathan Alder’s boys golf team captured top honors during Wednesday’s Central Buckeye Conference preseason tournament.
The event was held at Lakeland Golf Club in St. Paris.
Brady Fox of JA earned medalist honors as he carded a 77.
He helped lead the Pioneers to a low score of 324.
JA was followed by Kenton Ridge-330, Graham-359, Northwestern-364, Tecumseh-371, Urbana-375, London-381, Benjamin Logan-388, Indian Lake-398, Bellefontaine-406 and North Union-563.
Other Alder scores were Matthew Fox-82, Sammy Ratliff-82, Tyler Ogg-83, Brandon Gargac-85 and Nathan Reynard-88.
No individual scores for North Union were available.
Cardinals triumph
Triad’s boys downed Mechanicsburg, 186-197, during a match played at the Urbana Country Club on Wednesday.
Cole Pond led the Cardinals with a 45, followed by Ryan Gross-46, Maison Johnson-46 and Devin Butz-49.
Panthers compete
Fairbanks’ boys placed sixth during Wednesday’s Pickerington Central Invitational.
The host Tigers won the event with a 298, followed by runner-up Olentangy Berlin-300.
FHS carded a 329.
Andrew Crowe led the Panthers with a 78, followed by Alex Crowe-81, Logan Bocsy-84, Chase Brackenridge-86 and Tyler Ufferman-95.
