Triad’s girls hoop squad slipped to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 35-31 loss at Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday.
Frani LeVan scored six points during the opening period as the Lady Cardinals trailed 11-9 at the end of the set.
Triad held a 22-18 lead at halftime, but Shawnee took a 29-27 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Free throw shooting was problematic for Triad as the squad hit only two charity tosses in 10 attempts.
Cati LeVan joined her sister in double figures with 10 points.
The Lady Cardinals will host Cedarville today.
