Triad’s girls hoop squad dropped its first game of the season on Saturday.
The Lady Cardinals slipped to 2-1 overall with a 68-37 setback at West Jefferson.
Triad is also 0-1 in the Ohio Heritage Conference.
The Lady Cardinals’ offense was ice-cold during the initial eight minutes of the contest.
Triad (which will travel to West Liberty on Thursday) managed only a field goal from Frani LeVan and a charity toss by Ashtin Fauber.
As a result, West Jefferson took a 14-3 margin into the ensuing stanza.
Triad’s Cati LeVan got untracked during the second period by scoring seven markers.
Her efforts, however, couldn’t put much of a dent in the Rough Riders’ lead.
West Jefferson held a 29-13 spread at the halftime break and took a 51-26 lead into the fourth quarter.
West Jefferson helped seal its victory by hitting 11-of-13 shots from the charity stripe.
Triad took only seven free throws and cashed in on four.
