The Lady Monarch softball team earned its 20th victory of the season on Saturday with an 11-4 victory at Hilliard Darby.
The game was deadlocked at 2-2 in the first inning.
MHS (20-6) plated five runs in the visitors’ portion of the fourth and added four more during the final three frames.
Abby Gindlesberger was the winning pitcher as she fanned five and did not walk a batter.
Jewely Livingston pitched the final three innings in relief.
Leah Potter, Livingston, Emily Daniel and Lexi Williams each had two of Marysville’s 13 hits.
Potter homered and drove in a pair of runs.
Daniel had three RBIs, while Williams and Sydney Wade each drove in two.
The Lady Monarchs will travel to Olentangy High School today to face Bishop Watterson in the Division I district semifinals.

Cardinals win
Jacob Jenkins broke a 2-2 stalemate with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth that plated Jordan Simonelli with the winning run as Triad beat West Liberty-Salem, 3-2.
Batai Lease and Isaiah Bruce combined for five hits to lead the Cardinals.
Bruce started for Triad on the mound. He scattered five hits and struck out six.
Dylan Warner won the game in relief.
Triad will host Mississiniwa Valley in a first-round tournament game this afternoon at 5 p.m.
