The Marysville Lady Monarch golf squad scored a 220-224 victory over Westerville Central on Monday at Royal American.
Olivia Ishmael of MHS was the medalist with a 52.
“Olivia kept her putts low and came back from a rough first two holes,” said MHS coach Juliet Litzel.
Cassi Van Dyke shot a 54, while Madison Powers and Olivia Virts each carded a 57.
Golfers compete in matches
Marysville’s boys golf team placed 11th during Saturday’s Steve Youmans Classic, hosted by Olentangy.
The Monarchs shot a team score of 321, which is their best over the past three years.
Chris Borjas and Gavin Cossette each carded a 78 for the Monarchs.
Dylan DeLauter finished with an 82, while Sameer Parashar shot an 83.
The Monarchs shot a 350 during an Ohio Capital Conference match at Denison University Golf Course on Monday. They placed fourth as a team.
No other details about the match were reported.
Borjas and Caden Fulkerson each shot an 87.
Cossette and DeLauter finished with matching 88’s.
FHS girls fall
Fairbanks’ girls dropped a 217-239 verdict to Riverside.
Shelby Jones led FHS with a 50, which was three strokes behind Riverside’s Dana Jones, whose 47 earned medalist honors.
Other Panther scores were Gabby Vamos-57, Allison Kise-60, Kaylee Mitton-70 and Shelby Burns-79.
Lady Cats fall in CBC opener
The Lady Cats of North Union struggled on their home course at Mill Creek against a new conference foe Benjamin Logan, losing 190-225. The match was the first Central Buckeye Conference opponent the newly-added Lady Cats have faced.
Leading NU was Katlyn Saunders as she turned in a nine-hole score of 51. Maddy Snyder was close on Saunders’ heels with a 52.
Cami Craft ended her round with a 60. Kendra Nicol finished with a 62 and Lilly Taylor rounded out the team of five with a 79.
The Lady Cats will return to the links today when they face off against Riverside and Benjamin Logan at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.
Triad girls place third
The Lady Cardinals finished third during the Champaign County match at Indian Springs.
Mechanicsburg won the event with a 228, Urbana shot a 236 to finish at runner-up and Triad carded a 251.
Graham followed at 273.
Kayleigh Boldman led Triad with a 51, followed by Kallie Smith-61, Olivia Butz-68 and Shelby Sheets-71.
