The Lady Monarch varsity softball team upped its Ohio Capital Conference Central Division record to 2-0 on Thursday with a 13-4 triumph at Central Crossing.
The Lady Monarchs (10-4 overall) plated seven runs in the top of the first and coasted to the victory.
Emily Daniel had a big day at the plate as she had four hits and drove in two runs.
Leah Potter and Abby Gindelsberger each tallied a pair of hits and combined for five RBIs.
Sydney Wade had a home run among her two hits, while Jillian Smith also had two hits.
Izzy Shroyer drove in two runs.
Shroyer was the winning pitcher. She fanned five during five innings of work.
Gindelsberger pitched in relief.
The Lady Monarchs will play at Dublin Coffman on Monday.

Bethany Bates went the distance in the circle. She allowed four hits while striking out six.
Jaynn Young hit a two-run home run, while Cassie Van Dyke had four hits, including three doubles.
Kaitlyn Lowery, Bre Ortman, Meghan McKinney and Carli Connolly each had three hits.
Lady Cardinals fall
Triad’s softball team dropped a 4-2 verdict to Springfield Shawnee.
Kendell Hughes and Shelby Sheets both tallied two of the Lady Cardinals’ six hits.
Joni Russell surrendered eight Shawnee hits in the pitching circle.
The Lady Cardinals (5-3) will host Springfield Catholic Central today.
