Fairbanks’ girls basketball team dropped a 50-25 verdict at state-ranked West Liberty-Salem on Thursday.
The Tigers are rated third in this week’s Associated Press Division III state poll.
FHS led, 6-4, after the first period.
The Tigers took an 18-13 advantage into halftime and a 34-17 margin into the final eight minutes of action.
Fairbanks (which will host Northeastern on Saturday) struggled with its shooting.
The Lady Panthers (9-7 overall and 7-4 in the Ohio Heritage Conference) shot 38 times and hit only 11 for 26%.
FHS also connected on just four-of-10 from the free throw line.
Macy Miller and Carly Lehman both scored eight points for Fairbanks.
They were followed by Elaina Lahmers-four, Megan Rausch-three and Emma Kugel-two.
