Fairbanks High School’s girls track and field team is currently in first place in the Division III district meet that is being held at Watkins Memorial High School.
The Lady Panthers have tallied 10 points through one scoring event.
FHS captured top honors in the 4 x 800 relay with a time of 10:43.83.
The foursome on that team are Kaidie Carstensen, Adeline Fitzwater, Kalor Greve and Gracie Hubbs.
Lancaster Fairfield Christian is in second place with eight points, followed by Mt. Gilead-six, Worthington Christian-five, Northmor-four, East Knox-three and Madison Christian-two.
The Panther boys have scored one point through one scoring event.
Fairbanks notched that point with an eighth-place spot in the 4 x 800.
The team of Gage Wilson, Sam Keller, Kaleb Bosworth and Anders Rege was clocked in 9:14.53.
A number of FHS athletes have advanced to running event finals (top eight from prelims), which will be held on Saturday.

Monarchs compete
Marysville athletes competed in running prelims during the Division I district at Hilliard Darby.
Monarch athletes who have advanced to Saturday’s finals at 3 p.m. are as follows (with prelim results):
Boys
-300 hurdles: Jacob Ranker, first, 38.54; Anthony Kessler, fifth, 40.84;
-1600 run: Tristan Karnes, 12th, 5:01.78;
-110 hurdles: Ranker, second, 15.07.
Girls
-1600 Katie Kruger, fourth, 5:50.81.
The Monarchs boys have scored 5.33 points and are in 11th place in the 14-team district.
Olentangy Orange and Hilliard Davidson are first and second respectively with 51 and 42.33 points.
The Lady Monarchs are in eighth place in the 16-team district with 8.33 points.
The top two squads are Orange-58.5 and Lancaster-39.5.
