Fairbanks’ Alex Blumenschein finished Saturday with four RBIs on a grand-slam homer.
He, along with Nathan Combs, Noah Rausch and Evan Blumenschein, tallied two hits as the Panthers defeated Tree of Life Christian School, 12-2.
The quartet also combined for eight RBIs.
Also hitting safely for FHS were CJ Swartz, Grant Rausch, Max Snyder, Ryker Beaty and Brice Phelps.
Noah Rausch was the winning pitcher.
Snyder pitched the fifth inning in relief.
The Panthers invoked the run-rule with eight runs in the home half of the fifth inning.

Lady Cardinals split
Triad’s softball squad split a twinbill with Kenton Ridge.
Triad won the opener 3-0 and fell 15-9 during the nightcap.
Cardinal pitcher Joni Russell fanned 17 batters and allowed just a pair of hits during the first game.
She also had two hits.
Cati LeVan finished with two hits.

Kenton Ridge took a 9-6 lead in the nightcap and added six runs over the fifth and sixth frames.
Lillian Greene, Morgan Alexander and Russell all took their turns in the pitching circle.
Green was tagged with the loss.

JVs win, lose
Marysville’s jayvee softball team beat Mt. Vernon, 5-3, in nine innings on Friday.
Catlin Rigel was the winning pitcher for MHS.
She fanned five and yielded seven hits.
MHS scored three runs in the top of ninth.
Those runs were scored on a passed ball, a sacrifice fly from Avery Prohaska and a fielder’s choice off the bat of Kallie Scheinfurth.
The Yellow Jackets pulled to within 5-3 in the bottom of the ninth, but MHS survived that rally.
The Jr. Monarchs dropped a doubleheader to Westerville Central on Saturday by scores of 16-8 and 9-8.
Abigail Wilkerson, Hanna Yu and Mia Carder each had two hits for MHS in the opener.
Wilkerson and Ashlynn McAdow each had a pair of hits during the nightcap.
