Fairbanks’ girls varsity golf team beat Greenon, 180-200, on Monday.
Mary Weisburn and Veroniqe Grand of FHS tied for medalist honors with matching scores of 43.
They were followed by Gabby Vamos-45, Allison Kise-50, Shelby Burns-65 and Madeline Headings-73.
Lady Cats earn
CBC win
North Union’s girls golf team claimed a Central Buckeye Conference win during a three-way match with Graham, and Northwestern.
The Lady Cats claimed the victory with a 236 team score over the Lady Falcons’ 251, while Northwestern only had one player to compete.
Kaitlyn Saunders took the top spot for the Lady Cats with a 51 and tied for the top score of the match. Cami Craft turned in a 55.
Kendra Nicol tallied a 64. Grace Swank finished up with a 66. Hemmi Mullins scored a 73. Emma Saunders stroked her way to a 76 and Lilly Taylor landed on 79 to round out the team.
The Lady Cats will return to action Aug. 27 when they take on CBC opponent Benjamin Logan at Liberty Hills Golf Course.
Bunsold team wins
The Bunsold Middle School girls golfers won their second straight match of the season by beating Delaware.
Due to time constraints, only five holes were played.
The Lady Monarchs won, 133-167.
Reese Cordonnier of Bunsold had the low score of the match as she carded a 29.
