A trio of local girls basketball squads won games this week.
Along the way, Jonathan Alder’s Sharon Keefer set a new single-game three-point school record.

Marysville-Columbus Bishop Watterson
Bishop Watterson became the most recent victim of the Marysville High School team.
The Lady Monarchs edged the Eagles, 46-43, at Watterson.
Leah Brown tallied eight of her game-high 18 points during the opening period.
MHS took a 17-9 lead into the second quarter.
The halftime margin stood at 30-25 in Marysville’s favor as Brown tallied six additional markers.
Bishop Watterson held the Lady Monarchs to three points during the third period.
In doing so, the Eagles took a 34-33 edge.
JoJo Eberhart tallied five points during the final set as Marysville closed out the victory.
The Lady Monarchs (14-3) will host Hilliard Darby on Friday.

Fairbanks’ girls upped their record to 14-3 overall and 10-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference by pummeling Northeastern 71-19.
The Lady Panthers (who will host West Jefferson on Saturday) set the tone early with a 28-4 spread after the opening stanza.
FHS took a 39-12 advantage at halftime and upped its margin to 55-17 in the third period.
That invoked the running clock rule for the remainder of the contest.
The Lady Panthers blistered the nets by hitting nearly 53% from the floor (28-of-53).
Elaina Lahmers poured in 22 points and Reese Poling came off the bench to score 18.
They were joined in double figures by Carly Lehman, who added 10.
Liz Reinhard tallied six, followed by Ellie Carter-four, Anna Poling-four, Macy Miller-three, Lindsey Smith-two and Katelyn Vollrath-two.
Miller grabbed 11 of FHS’ 28 total rebounds.

Record set by Keefer
Keefer put up 14 shots from beyond the three-point arc and drilled eight.
Her shooting prowess came during a 63-13 triumph at Kenton Ridge.
Those eight trifectas are a new single-game record for the Lady Pioneers.
Keefer took up the scoring slack from Mary Ferrito, who is leading the Central Buckeye Conference with an 18.3 per-game scoring average.
Ferrito took an elbow to the jaw early in the first period.
“We sat her the rest of the game, because we didn’t need to risk her for that contest,” said Alder coach Allen Eggleston.
Keefer led Jonathan Alder with 25 points. She went into the contest averaging 0.2 points per outing.
Keefer was followed by Katie Hooley-13, Evan Platfoot-seven, Ferrito-four, Reagan Gray-four, Avery Murdock-four, Olivia Zuro-four and Ellie Heisler-two.
The Lady Pioneers (13-4 overall and 6-0 in the CBC) will travel to Bellefontaine on Saturday.
