Marysville native, Stephen Gangluff, was able to find the cup with ease during the second round of the LECOM Health Challenge at Peek n’ Peak Resort in Findley Lake, New York to put himself into the weekend rounds of the WEB.com Tour stop.
But once into the money rounds, the Monarch alum struggled on the course tallying a 1-under–par 71 on both the third and fourth round to end the tournament with a 9-under-par to tie for 34th place and win $3,064.
Gangluff started out round three with a birdie on the opening hole, followed up with a bogey on hole 2 to stay and even on the day. Gangluff continued to bounce back and fourth between 1-under-par and even with a birdie on the par 3 hole 5, but fell back to even with a bogey on par 4 hole 7 and end the front nine with a bogey on the par 4 hole 9. Gangluff was able to find a birdie on the par 5 hole 11 to end his day at 1-under-par.
The final round of the LECOM Health Challenge was nearly identical to Gangluff’s third round as he flirted with even on the front nine by collecting a birdie and following up with a bogey. He enter the back nine sitting at even and collected another birdie on hole 11 to end his day at 1-under-par.
The WEB.com tour will make their next stop at the Oakridge County Club for the Utah Championship.
