Marysville’s girls track and field squad tallied 78 points to capture a triangular meet at Delaware Hayes earlier this week.
Hayes was the runner-up with 63 points and New Albany finished with 33.
The home team earned top honors in the boys meet with 80 points.
MHS scored 58 and New Albany finished with 27.
Delaware Hayes hosted the Monarchs for Marysville’s senior night since MHS has no home meets this season.
MHS has no meets at home due to the stadium renovation project.
Marysville took top honors in the following events:
Girls
-Shot put: Rhiannon Gossett, 33-4.5;
-Discus: Carys Gossett, 97-1;
-High jump: Tyshondra Russell, 4-8;
-Pole vault: Mary Calvert, 9-0;
-1600 run: Jenna Rioch, 5:22.90;
-400 dash: Rioch, 1:02.18;
-800 run: Rachel Chesbrough, 2:38.46;
-200 dash: Caitlin Cotner, 28.34.
Boys
-Pole vault: Gary Markin, 11-6;
-1600 run: Tristan Karnes, 4:44.65;
-400 dash: Karnes, 54.74;
-300 hurdles: Jacob Ranker, 39.99.
The Monarchs will compete in the Wapakoneta Relays on Thursday.
