A trio of teams from Olentangy placed in the top four on Wednesday when Marysville High School’s boys golf team hosted its annual early-season invitational.
Olentangy Orange shot a 298 to claim top honors at the event that was held at Darby Creek.
Olentangy Berlin was the runner-up with a 302.
Hilliard Bradley finished third and prevented Olentangy golfers from taking the top three spots.
Bradley carded a 308 and Olentangy Liberty placed fourth, one stroke behind with a 309.
The rest of the field was as follows:
Big Walnut-313, Hilliard Darby-316, Columbus St. Charles-316, Bexley-317, Columbus Academy-325, Hilliard Davidson-332, Mt. Vernon-335, Granville-343, Thomas Worthington-351, Marysville A-355, Dublin Scioto-369, Westerville North-377 and Marysville B-382.
Gavin Crossette led the Monarchs’ A squad with an 18-hole score of 81. He shot a 38 on the front nine and carded a 43 on the back.
Caden Fulkerson was a handful of strokes behind as he fired a 46-42 for an 88.
They were followed by Alden Prohaska (45-48-93), Dylan DeLauter (51-42-93), Cole Weaver (49-45-94) and Justin DeHoff (45-60-105).
Wes McHenry led Marysville’s B team as he shot a 43-46 for a score of 89.
He was followed by Johnathon Cusack (44-48-92), Myles Young (50-47-97), Nick Wever (52-52-104), Danny Norris (55-51-106) and Dominic Lombardo (56-60-116).

Marysville’s girls golfers played in an Ohio Capital Conference Central Division match on Wednesday.
New Albany captured top team honors with a score of 303.
The Lady Eagles were followed by Upper Arlington-315, Dublin Coffman-332, Marysville-412, Canal Winchester-430 and Hilliard Davidson-432.
Olivia Ishmael led Marysville with an 86.
She was followed by Avery Prohaska-93, Emily Williams-107 and Cassi Van Dyke-126.
