The Marysville High School track and field program had several athletes place on Thursday during the Division I district meet at Hilliard Darby High School
Ethan Klauda finished second in the boys’ long jump with an effort of 21-4.
That advanced him to next week’s regional meet at Pickerington North High School.
The girls’ 4×800 relay team also qualified for the regional with a third place finish at the district.
The foursome of Jacquelyn Witt, Jenna Rioch, Robin King and Celia Soller came in with a time of 9:33.45.
Skylar Strickland finished sixth in the boys’ shot put with a heave of 44-6.5.
He also was ninth in the discus with a throw of 121-1.
Natalie Hiltscher advanced to Saturday’s girls’ district finals in the 400 meter dash.
She had the fifth-fastest qualifying time at 1:01.93.
The girls’ 4×200, 4×100 and 4×400 teams also advanced to Saturday’s finals.
Rioch, Witt, Soller and Hiltscher finished with the third-best prelim time of 4:07.06 in the 4×400 relay.
The 4×200 team of Hiltscher, Soller, Julia Dickman and Caitlyn Cotner had the sixth-fastest prelim time of 1:48.18.
Mary Calvert, Haley Cook, Emily Caltrider and Dickman ran the 4×100 relay in 51.57.
That was the seventh-fastest qualifying time.
The boys’ finals are set for 9 a.m. and the girls will take to the track at 3 p.m.
on Saturday at Darby.
