Marysville’s boys varsity lacrosse squad trailed 3-1 in the first half against Buckeye Valley on Wednesday.
The Monarchs, though, rallied to tie the halftime score at 6-6 before notching a 13-11 victory.
MHS tallied four goals during the third quarter and took a 10-7 margin into the final set.
Things got tense with seven minutes remaining in the game.
BV fought back and pulled to within a couple of points.
Hunter Wilson and Jacob Branton, however, scored the final two goals for the Monarch victory.
The leading scorer for MHS was Branton with four goals and two assists.
He was followed by Sean Murray and Travis Geyer, each with a hat trick (three goals).
Murray also assisted Mark Frendberg on his goal.
Colin Baschnagel assisted Murray on a goal, followed by Jakob Hullinger and Wilson, each notching one assist.
Mike Gingras won 64% of his face-offs, while goalie Grayson Fultz was able to save four shots on goal.
MHS will host Jonathan Alder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
It will be Senior Night for Marysville.
