Marysville’s boys hoop squad got back on the winning track with Saturday’s 57-45 victory at Mt. Vernon.
The Monarchs (12-8) trailed 12-10 after the first period and tied the contest at 28-all by halftime.
MHS’ defense clamped down on the Yellow Jackets, who tallied just seven markers during the third set.
MHS (which will host Worthington Kilbourne on Tuesday) took a 45-35 lead into the final quarter.
Jack Christian led the Monarchs with 22 points.
He was joined in double figures by Garrett Taylor, who tallied 12.
