The Lady Monarch cross country team placed third and the MHS boys finished sixth during Saturday’s Ohio Capital Conference meet.
The event was held at Pickerington Central High School.
Dublin Jerome won the girls race with 45 points, followed by Olentangy Berlin-73, MHS-77, Hilliard Darby-78, Thomas Worthington-113 and Olentangy-129.
Jerome also captured top honors in the boys meet with 31 points.
The Celtics were followed by Thomas Worthington-63, Olentangy Berlin-65, Olentangy-86, Hilliard Darby-117 and Marysville-148.

“Overall, the ladies had an outstanding team race,” said MHS coach Luke Sundermeier. “Katie put herself in the lead group and traded moves with the leaders to finish fourth.
“Bryn got disconnected on a steep hill, but made an important pass during the last 400 meters to help the team.”
Krueger and Hothem earned first-team honors in the conference.
Bautsch and Elliott earned honorable mention status.
“Everyone raced hard on a tough course,” said Sundermeier. “The team learned valuable lessons and looks forward to a very competitive district meet.
“The boys built some momentum in their race and are looking forward to continuing to advance positions at the district meet,” said Sundermeier.
Herring earned OCC honorable mention All-League honors.
The Monarchs will compete in the district meet on Saturday at Hilliard Darby.
The boys will race at 3:30 p.m.
The girls will compete at 5 p.m.
