MHS lacrosse squad tops JA

Marysville’s varsity boys lacrosse team downed Jonathan Alder, 24-16, on Friday.
The Monarchs held a 7-4 edge after the opening period and took a 13-9 margin at halftime.
JA rallied for a 16-15 lead by the end of the third period.
The Monarchs kept Alder out of the net during the final period in coming back for the victory.
Luke Peterson tallied seven goals and two assists for Marysville.
Hunter Wilson put the ball in the net five times, while Jack Peterson scored three goals.
Mason Seum led the Pioneers with eight goals, while Jacob Friend tallied four.
Bryan Blacka and Nolan Larison each came up with a pair of goals.
Marysville keepers Grayson Fultz and Cornelio Estrella combined for 10 saves, while Alder’s Giano Sicillan had seven.
