Marysville’s boys lacrosse squad suffered its second consecutive loss with a 16-7 verdict to Strongsville.
After a 14-4 setback to Thomas Worthington a few days prior, the Monarchs stand at .500 (4-4) overall for the season.
The Mustangs (3-5) notched their third triumph of the campaign.
Both squads competed at a neutral site at Capital University with windy conditions covering central Ohio.
MHS senior Julian Kennedy claimed a hat trick, scoring thrice against the Mustangs.
Senior Jamey Best complimented with a pair of goals.
Dusty Bernard and Ben Durey both scored once.
Recording assists were Lincoln Engle, Xander Angelas and Hunter Sheldon.
Inside the cage, goalie Sean McGee collected 11 saves on 46 opposing shot attempts.
The Monarchs will be back on their home field today, hosting Hilliard Darby at 7 p.m.
