The boys and girls track and field squads from Marysville won titles during the recent Kiwanis Invitational at Teays Valley High School.
The Monarch boys captured their meet with 202 points, followed by Teays Valley-149.
Columbus Horizon was third with 47, followed by Bishop Watterson-37, Madison Plains-28, Harvest Prep-24, St. Charles-15 and Liberty Christian Academy-four.
MHS’ girls put 195.5 points on the board, followed by Teays Valley-142.
Watterson finished with 103.5, followed by Madison Plains-35, Columbus Horizon-24, Harvest Prep-eight and Liberty Christian-five.

“Many athletes continue to gain valuable early-season experience and are testing parts of the lineup for later in the spring,” said MHS head coach Luke Sundermeier. “The sprints group continues to show improvement, while the distance squad took a ‘divide and conquer’ approach to sweep all of their events.
“We continue to focus on developing our field events,” said the coach. “Overall, the team took advantage of opportunities to compete and have demonstrated their commitment towards incremental progress.”
Marysville will host the Monarch Relays on Friday.
Fairbanks and Jonathan Alder will be included in the field of teams.
