The Marysville wrestling team competed at the Maumee Bay Invitational held at Oregon Clay High School.
The Monarchs finished fifth out of 52 teams.
Colton Powers earned runner-up honors at 175 pounds.
Jack Golla (150) and Ben Bickerstaff (190) both earned fifth-place finishes.
Josh Melms was seventh in the 144-pound weight class.

NU places second
North Union took second place at the Madison Plains duals tournament.
The Wildcats picked up team victories over Madison Plains, Columbus East, Columbus West and Grove City B.
In the championship match, North Union lost to Upper Arlington.
Braedon Scowden (106), Trace Williams (113), Gabe Hansen (126) and Tyler Cline (215) each went 5-0 in the tournament.
Picking up four wins were Traven Reber (132) and Shan Swank (190). Zack Ellis (120), Austin Cline (136) and Jon Allinder (150) each had three wins, while Clarissa Wilson (165) notched a pair of victories.

Bunsold captures title
Marysville’s Bunsold team won its invitational tournament.
The Monarchs totaled 282 points, edging out Wapakoneta by two points.
North Union finished sixth with 113.5 points and Bunsold Blue took seventh with 93.
Marysville Bunsold Red placed 12 wrestlers, led by Evan Beeny, who took first place in the 86-pound division.
Other placers for Marysville Bunsold were Michael Bowsher (second, 122), Waylon McDaniel (second, 134), Cameron Taylor (second, 150), Ricky Guerrero (second, 245), Aiden White (third, 92), Trent Sharp (third, 116), J.J. Henry (third, 128), Christian Smith (third, 142), Charles Bradley (third, 160), Braylon Shuster (fifth, 104) and Keithan Short (fifth, 172).
North Union picked up two first-place finishers. A. J. Leeson won at 98 pounds and Ben Jones captured the 104-pound division.
Also placing for the Wildcats were Braylen Riffle (third, 110), Heath Ferguson (fourth, 134) and Peyton Wood (sixth, 160).
Bunsold Blue’s top placer was Trevor Helmuth, who finished third at 122.
Other placers were Issac Heller (fourth, 116), Colin Wimmers (fourth, 128), Logan Acker (fifth, 134), Landon Wilson (sixth, 92) and Malachi Anderson (sixth, 142).
