Middle school spikers claim victory


The St. John’s Lutheran School volleyball team upped its record to 6-0 with three recent victories.

The Lady Jaguars defeated Liberty Christian Academy by scores of 25-13, 25-9.

St. John’s stats for the match were as follows:

-Allie Boyd: served 20/21 with 13 aces;

-Grace Gorton: served 10/10 with three aces;

-Sara Lynch: served four-for-four with one ace;

-Hannah Boehm: served three-for-four with a pair of aces.

St. John’s needed just two sets to defeat New Hope Christian Academy 25-14, 26-24.

-Gorton: served 21/21 with four aces;

-Boyd: served eight-for-eight;

-S. Lynch: served six-for-seven with two aces;

-Anna Lynch: served four-of-four;

-Mya Balderson: served four-for-five;

-McKenna Fonner: served three-for-three with an ace.

The Lady Jaguars wrapped up the recent sweep with a 25-12, 25-9 triumph over Columbus Torah Academy

-S. Lynch: served 10-of-11 with five aces;

-Gorton: served nine-for-nine with six aces;

-Boyd: served five-for-five with an ace;

-Emma Hamilton: served four-of-four with three aces;

-Avery Gallmeyer: served four-of-five with three aces.

Bunsold wins

The Bunsold Middle School Red spikers defeated Ridgemont 25-19, 25-20.

Elise Gilsinger tallied five aces and one kill.

Selina Hinds notched five aces.
