Several Marysville High School cross-country runners competed on Saturday during open races at Olentangy Berlin.
Worthington Kilbourne also competed in the meet.
Lady Monarch results were as follows:
-Maggie Zweizig: (13th, 22:54);
-Haylee Huffman: (14th, 23:02);
-Kaylee Morton: (15th, 23:13);
-Olivia Elliott: (18th, 23:29);
-Katheryn Mager: (23rd, 24:29).
Boys results were:
-Cannon Moser (16th, 18:16);
-Aaron Schlemmer (17th, 18:33);
-Tyler Heap (19th, 18:34);
-Camden Russell (20th, 18:38);
-Aiden Gome (21st, 18:42).
No team scores were available.
“It was a fantastic morning of racing for the open runners, many of whom will compete for spots on varsity by the end of the season,” said Marysville coach Luke Sundermeier. “They packed up well and pushed the second half of the race.
“These runners gained valuable experience,” he said. “Olentangy Berlin did a great job putting together a meet and providing an opportunity for athletes to compete.”
