Monarch track teams compete at Stingel meet


Marysville’s girls and boys track and field teams competed in the Stingel Invitational at Pickerington North on Saturday.
The girls placed 11th out of 16 teams with 27 points.
The top five teams were Olentangy Orange-135, Centerville-75, Lancaster-75, Thomas Worthington-71 and Pickerington Central-59.
The Lady Monarchs placed as follows:
-Jenna Rioch: 400 dash, first, 59.75;
-Jacquelyn Witt: 800 run, fourth, 2:25.27;
-Haley Cook: 300 hurdles, sixth, 50.15;
-Brynn Rychlik: pole vault, eighth, 9-0;
-Katie Miller: long jump, eighth, 14-8.75;
-4 x 400 relay: sixth in 4:17.75, Rioch, Witt, Miller, Cook;
-Distance medley relay: fifth in 13:16.52, Rioch, Kendal Ellerbrock, Leanne Eichorn, Witt.
The boys were 12th out of 16 teams with 20 points.
Pickerington Central won the boys meet with 11 points, followed by Lancaster-108, Pickerington North-82, Reynoldsburg-81 and Olentangy Orange-51 to round out the top five.
MHS placed as follows:
-Jacob Ranker: 300 hurdles, second, 40.30; 110 hurdles, third, 15.49;
-Blake Angel: 110 hurdles, fifth, 16.02;
-Tristan Karnes: 800 meter, eighth, 2:05.79;
-Distance medley relay: eighth in 11:36.06, Cole Bautsch, Anthony Kessler, Chris Lambert, Karnes.
The Monarchs will travel to Westerville South on Tuesday for a meet that also includes Columbus Centennial, DeSales and Oakstone Academy.
