Marysville’s varsity baseball team clubbed Columbus Bishop Hartley, 10-2, during a non-conference game on Wednesday.
MHS held a 2-0 lead after the opening inning and expanded its margin to 5-2 after three frames.
The Monarchs added three scores over the fourth and fifth innings.
James Hackworth had a big day at the plate. He went three-for-three and drove in a trio of runs.
Mason Springs finished with two hits in as many trips to the plate and tallied three RBIs.
Also hitting safely for Marysville were Damon Wade, Griffin Michael, Tyler Kesterson, Canyon Gladstone, Tate Martino, Rocco Marchetti and Jake Fisher.
Michael, Martino and Griffin Scheiderer also drove in runs.
Martino was the winning pitcher.
He yielded one hit and two runs (both unearned) during a three-inning stint on the hill.
Springs, Luke Bankes and Clark Aden also pitched for the Monarchs (16-6).
