The Monarch varsity baseball team got back on the winning track with a 6-3 home victory over Upper Arlington on Wednesday.
The Golden Bears took a 2-0 lead in the visitors’ portion of the opening inning, thanks in part to an RBI single by Jacob Leve.
Marysville (13-10 overall and 9-5 in the Ohio Capital Conference Central Division) tied the game with a couple of runs in the bottom of the second.
MHS pitcher Trey Storr helped himself at the plate by singling in a run during the inning.
The Monarchs (who will play at Hilliard Davidson on Friday) broke the stalemate with a run in the fourth.
Storr was credited with the RBI on a sacrifice bunt.
Marysville added a trio of runs in the fifth on RBIs from Blake Storr, Gabe Schaeffer and Matt Belt.
Upper Arlington put its final run on the board in the top of the sixth.
Trey Storr pitched six innings for the victory. He allowed four hits and fanned three.
Blaine Williams pitched the seventh inning for the save.
The Storr brothers each had one hit for Marysville, as did Michael Bonczak, Schaeffer, Belt, Connor Parks and Payne Miller.

Panthers triumph
Jaeden Eickhoff struck out eight batters and allowed just five hits as the Fairbanks varsity baseball squad defeated Mechanicsburg, 5-2.
The Panthers upped their record to 17-6, while the Indians slipped to 18-7.
Mechanicsburg plated a run in the home portion of the first inning.
FHS, which will travel to Northridge on Friday, tallied all of its runs in the top of the fifth.
Mason Cushman crushed a three-run homer, while Connor Pack drove in two runs.
Pack led Fairbanks with three hits in as many trips to the plate.
Eickhoff, Grant Rausch and Alex Jones each had one hit for the Panthers.
