The boys tennis teams from Marysville and Jonathan Alder had mixed results during matches on Thursday.
The Monarchs edged Central Crossing, 3-2, while JA dropped a 3-2 verdict to Bellefontaine.
MHS-Central Crossing
Marysville’s doubles teams claimed victories.
Devin Kyle and Alexander Seiltz defeated B. Semchisin and Lim 6-1, 6-2.
Payton Ice and Jack Nuspl turned back Petry and Castano 6-0, 6-1.
The Monarchs’ other victory came at first singles where Joel Sheeley downed Yoakum 6-0, 6-0.
Romavov of Crossing won the second singles match by beating Sam Balderson 3-6, 6-2, 1-0.
S. Semchishin defeated Sameer Parshar of MHS in the third singles contest by a 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 count.
Bellefontaine-JA
Riley Woods of Alder won the first singles match by a 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 decision over Calton.
The Pioneers’ first doubles team of Jack and Grant Welsch turned back Neer and Strzalka 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
Hartley of Bellefontaine won the second singles match by beating Dominic Gantz 6-4, 7-6.
Bakshi downed Alder’s Jacob Zang at third singles by a score of 7-5, 0-6, 7-5.
Edu and Stolly defeated JA’s Ethan Headings and Hayden Mitchell 6-0, 6-0 during the second doubles match.
