Marysville’s varsity tennis squad got back on the winning track with a 3-2 victory over Grove City on Thursday.
The Lady Monarchs improved their record to 4-9 with the triumph.
Results were as follows:
Singles
-Grace Larriuz beat B. Bane 6-4, 7-6;
-Lauren Markert downed L. Townsend 6-3, 6-7, 10-3;
-Caroline Geraghty topped B. Smith 6-3, 6-3.
Doubles
-Ellie Williams and Maddie Blaisdell lost to A. Burke and J. Stroud 0-6, 2-6;
-Krista O’Shelski and Eliza Martin fell to J. Susie and E. Olander 2-6, 2-6.
MHS’ jayvee squad beat Grove City, 6-2, to improve its record to 4-5.
Results were as follows:
-Hanna Hogan won 8-1;
-Chloe Bryan triumphed 8-5;
-Molly Armstrong fell 7-8 (3-7 in the tiebreaker);
-Liv Warner lost 7-8 with a 5-7 score in the tiebreaker;
-Caitlee Hill and Emily Thallman won 8-5;
-Briannah Sparks and Ellie Nuspl won 8-2;
-Kiersten Traucht and Alissa Wilm won 8-2;
-Megan Vollrath and Taylor Lewis won 8-3.
