The North Union Wildcats boys basketball season got off to a hot start on Wednesday when they toppled Columbus North International 70-34.
The Cats took the early lead of 18-11 in the first quarter and where able to outscore Lions in every quarter to win the contest.
Preston Crabtree led the Wildcats 23 points. Owen Davis added 10 for NU, Conner Terrill put up nine points, Aaron Krebehenne tallied eight points, Hudson Davis contributed six points, Gavin Webb added five, Zach Vernon was good for four points, Joel Krebehenne tallied three points and Tucker Wedding contributed two points in the victory.
North Union will return to the court Tuesday at Pleasant.
