North Union was defeated 5-2 by Indian Lake on Tuesday in Central Buckeye Conference softball action at Indian Lake.
Defense played a key role in the game as the Lady Cats committed five errors.
A total of four of IL’s five runs were unearned.
North Union scored two runs in the top of the fourth inning to tied the game at two.
The Lakers tallied one marker in the bottom of the inning and added two runs in the fifth.
Kailin McElroy had a pair of singles for the Lady Cats, while Kennedy Harrah, Kale Keigley, Emma Padovano, Savannah Queen and Ryleigh Rasey each singled.
Reese DeCamp and Brenna Martino shared pitching duties. They allowed eight hits, walked five and struck out five.
