Alex Crowe of Fairbanks finished in a three-way tie for fourth place during Thursday’s Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament.
The event was held at Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Kenton.
Crowe shot a 79, which tied him with Mason Rinehart and Nathan Newell of Marion Pleasant.
They competed in the 16-to-18 age bracket.
Alex Pratt of Pleasant captured his first win of the season in that category.
He parred the course, carding a perfect 36-36-72.
Pratt finished with ten pars and four birdies.
Pratt and Crowe are first and second respectively among the points leaders after four tournaments.
Pratt stands at 66, while Crowe has tallied 59.
Northmor’s Grant Bentley’s score of 36-39-75 topped the charts in the 13-15 age group.
He took advantage of nine pars and three birdies to edge runner-up Chase Brackenridge’s (Fairbanks) 76.
Brackenridge leads the 13-15 age group with 64 points.
