The Fairbanks Panther boys varsity golfers battled through rainy conditions to defeat Hilliard Darby, 164-169, at Darby Creek.
Alex Crowe turned in a 37 for the nine-hole event that was played on Thursday.
He was followed by Travis Brake-41, Logan Bocsy-42, Seth Payne-44, Andrew Crowe-44 and Noah Rausch-57.
MHS drops match
Marysville’s boys varsity golfers lost to Delaware Hayes, 166-174.
Justin DeHoff led MHS with a 40, followed by Dylan DeLauter-44, Alden Prohaska-45 and Caden Fulkerson-45.
Cardinals fall
Triad’s girls golfers slipped to 0-3 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 202-236 setback against Greeneview.
Olivia Butz led the Lady Cardinals with a 50, followed by Anna Nott-55, Audra Millice-65, Joni Russell-66, Maddie Campbell-68 and Hannah McManaway-71.
Triad’s boys also dropped their match to Greeneview, 170-192.
Cole Pond led the Cardinals with a 41, followed by Devin Butz-48, Payton Oyer-51, Ryan Gross-52 and Jalen Nott-53.
JVs triumph
Marysville’s jayvee boys edged Columbus Bishop Watterson, 172-173.
Wes McHenry led the Monarchs with a 40, followed by Nick Wever-43, Ty Shaw-44 and Johnathon Cusack-45.
