Fairbanks athletes have hit the pause button for at least the next 12 days.
District officials announced on Tuesday afternoon that Panther sports have been paused until Nov. 30.
That is due to the fact that several winter sports athletes have tested has positive for COVID-19.
According to information received from the school district, the virus impacted both the boys and girls basketball programs.
District officials announced there will be no athletic events for the district during the remainder of November.
