Fairbanks’ boys cross-country team placed fourth during Saturday’s 10-team Waynesfield-Goshen night meet.
A total of 64 runners competed.
Placing for the Panthers (no times reported) were Zeke Gingerich, eighth; Caleb Wenger, 18th; Nathan Parks, 24th; Cameron Nisly, 30th; Nicholas Powell, 31st; Nicholas Johnson, 38th; Bryce Nisly, 40th; and Tim Stanton, 56th.
The Lady Panthers were represented by two runners.
Rachel Hoover placed second and Kayden Fields was 23th.
NU competes
North Union’s runners competed during the Central Ohio Cross Country Invitational that was held Saturday at Three Creeks Metro Park in Columbus.
The Lady Cats finished sixth overall.
Ashley Hayward was 29th with a time of 22:52.5 and Savannah Amstutz was 23rd in 23:13.4.
Also running for the NU girls were Kendal Music, 25:45.2; Hayley Dailey, 27:04; Catherine Hinkle, 27:08.5; and Aunna Kasler, 28:08.9.
North Union’s boys finished seventh as a team in their race.
Traven Reber was the top finisher for the Wildcats.
He was 63rd in 21:22.6.
Mitchell Marlette was right behind him in 674th with a clocking of 21:28.1.
Levi Baird placed 67th in 21:53.1.
Others competing for the Wildcats were John Popovich, 22:39.2; Evan Beery, 23:09; and William Popovich, 23:29.1.
