The All-Ohio football awards continued to roll in today for area high school athletes.
The Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association named its 2018 all-state teams for Divisions IV and V.
The highest local honor within the two divisions went to North Union defensive lineman Colton Clark.
The 6-0, 285-pound senior was named to the first team in D-V.
Clark finished the season with 63.5 tackles as the Wildcats posted a 7-3 record.
Jonathan Alder’s top honoree for Division IV was defensive lineman Brennan Blain.
The 6-2, 205-pound senior was named to the division’s second team.
Blain finished the Pioneers’ 6-4 campaign with 70 tackles, 12 of which went for losses. He also tallied eight sacks.
Several other area football players joined Clark and Blain for all-state honors.
They are as follows:
Division IV
Jonathan Alder
-Garrett Proxmire: The junior running back was named to the third team. The 6-0, 180-pound junior rushed for a team-leading 1,369 yards on 210 attempts. He scored 11 touchdowns.
-Quarterback J.T. Keith and offensive lineman Connor Morgan: The underclassmen were named to the special mention list.
Keith, a 5-10, 165-pound sophomore, completed 87-of-157 passes for 1,292 yards and 14 touchdowns.
