The Marysville High School girls basketball program will host its annual Pride Camp for two separate sessions.
A camp for youngsters in grades 1-4 will be held May 29-June 1.
Another session for those in grades 5-8 will be held July 10-13.
Both camps will run from 9-11:30 a.m. each day.
Former Lady Monarch assistant coach Scott Hamilton is coordinating the camp as school officials are searching for a new head coach.
Mindy Eisnaugle recently stepped down as the program’s leader after two seasons on the job.
“The camp for the younger girls will stress fundamentals, team work and basketball IQ,” said Hamilton.
“The camp for the older girls will focus on more skills and work on more offensive and defensive flows of the game,” he said.
“We decided to separate the camps because hopefully the new head coach will be able to begin putting his or her touch on the program with the older girls later in the summer,” said Hamilton.
Hamilton will receive assistance with the camp from Bunsold girls coaches Brooke Young and Doug Weller, junior varsity coach Mady Fogle and current and former Lady Monarchs.
Monarch athletic director Ryan Walker said late last week that interviews for some internal candidates for the position may begin sometime this week.
Fogle is currently conducting open gym sessions for the program, while former players Kaylee Gordon, Taylor Eberhart and Kinzi Lee will help guide the team through a summer league in Hilliard, according to Hamilton.
