Members of the Marysville High School cross-country teams competed on Thursday in a summer 3K tune-up race for the 2021 season. Junior Preston Herring, left, captured the overall boys title with a time of 10:04. Freshman Bailey Gross won the girls race in 11:50. The event was held at the Bryn Du Mansion in Granville. Approximately half the two MHS teams competed and tested their fitness over the mansion’s hilly grounds, according to coach Luke Sundermeier. Preseason practices begin for the Monarchs on Monday.
