Marysville’s boys lacrosse squads dropped Friday matches to Kettering Fairmont.
The varsity tallied all of its goals in the second half, but lost by an 8-6 verdict.
The jayvees fell, 6-4.
Fairmont led the varsity match, 5-0, at halftime.
The Monarchs regrouped at the break and put up a fierce rally.
Collin Baschnagel and Travis Geyer each tallied two goals for MHS.
Also scoring were Jakob Hullinger and Sean Murray.
Braiden Henson and Baschnagel each had one assist.
Max Shroyer won 75 percent of his face-offs, while Landon Henson and Cornelio Estrell provided solid defensive play.
Henson had three take-aways and Estella had one.
Midfielders Tyler Richardson and Brendon Kovinchik combined for five additional take-aways.
Grayson Fultz saved six of 14 goals on goal for the Monarchs.
Cody McCormick scored two goals for the Jr. Monarchs, while Cory Weinbrecht and Hayden Reed each had one.
Christian Ibarro finished with five saves.
Morgan Bisel won 80 percent of his face-offs, followed by McCormick at 71 percent.
the Monarchs will return to action by hosting Dublin Coffman on Tuesday.
