MHS netters beat G. City
Marysville’s girls tennis team beat Grove City, 5-0, on Monday.
Match results were as follows:
-Paige Hobbs (M) defeated Moore 7-6, 6-4;
-Blair Fairchild (M) topped Lutz 6-1, 6-0;
-Molly Armstrong (M) downed Walsh 6-1, 6-1.
-Krista O’Shelski-Caitlee Hill (M) defeated Turner-Townsend 7-5, 4-6, 1-0;
-Hanna Hogan-Emma Pzedpelski (M) beat Oberting-Biegel 6-0, 6-0.
Golf teams have mixed results
North Union’s boys golf team lost to Urbana, 166-189, on Monday.
Zach Vernon led the Wildcats with a score of 42.
He was followed by Nathan Matlack-48, Wyatt Davis-49 and Taden Peck- 50.
Lady Cardinals split
Triad’s lady golfers split a triangular match.
The Lady Cardinals beat Madison Plains, 240-258, and fell to Southeastern, which finished with a score of 189.
Alli Gregg led Triad with a 54.
Megan McMannaway and Chloe Honchell both carded a 60 and Ella Campbell finished with a 66.
Triad boys fall
Triad’s boys dropped a 190-237 verdict to Mechanicsburg.
Cardinal scores were Adam Mroczkowski-53, Braydan Hoffman-60 and Evan Ziegler and Caleb Hostetler-62s.
Bunsold spikers top Dublin Sells
The Bunsold eighth-grade volleyball team beat Dublin Sells 25-15, 25-14 on Monday.
Kenleigh Russell tallied six aces and Annabelle Clair finished with five kills.
Madi Cook added three digs for the Monarchs.
The Bunsold seventh-grade spikers won their fourth consecutive match with a victory over Dublin Sells.
No set scores were available.
Kara Moeller tallied 12 consecutive aces.
Regan Forkin notches six aces and a pair of kills.
Maddie Hubbell finished with two kills and one block.
