St. John’s Lutheran School’s varsity boys hoop squad extended its winning streak this week.
The Jaguars rolled past Cypress Express, 39-15.
The first half was a little sluggish as Cypress packed in a 2-3 zone for most of the night.
That resulted in only a 15-7 lead at the half for the Jags.
An evenly-played third quarter kept St. John’s lead at eight.
The Jaguars, however, blew the game open in the fourth quarter, outscoring Cypress 18-2.
Blake Gorton and Nate Fisher led the team with eight points apiece.
Cody Gallmeyer scored six, followed by Mac Rausch-five, Connor Boyd and Jackson Burns-both with four and Lincoln Thrush and Gianni Russo- both with two.
