The Triad Lady Cardinal golf team beat Southeastern, 206-208, at Locust Hills on Wednesday.
Triad’s Kayleigh Boldman was the co-medalist with a 47.
Anna Nott carded a 50, followed by Shelby Sheets-53, Kallie Smith-54 and Olivia Butz-55.
Cardinals fall
Triad’s boys golf team dropped a 180-207 decision to Greenfield McClain on Wednesday.
James Russell led the Cardinals with a 50. He was followed by Cole Pond-52, Ryan Gross-52, Jalen Nott-53, Hunter Talbot-54 and Devin Butz-56.
JA/FHS boys compete in tourney
Jonathan Alder’s boys shot a team score of 338 and placed eighth during the eight-team Division II portion of the recent Warrior-Jaguar Classic.
Columbus Academy won the division with a 299, followed by Notre Dame Cathedral Latin-307, Kettering Alter-308, Bexley-322, John Glenn-334, Galion-337and Bishop Hartley-338.
Alder finished 14th overall in the field of 18 teams that encompassed Divisions II and III.
Hayden Mitchell of JA tied for 14th as an individual with a 77.
Mychal McKelvey and Tyler Hilbert tied for 23rd with matching scores of 79, while Chase Pond (86th) tallied a 103.
Fairbanks’ boys were fifth in Division III and tenth overall with a score of 336.
Wellington won the D-III match with a score of 300, followed by Worthington Christian-317, Hiland-328 and Canton Central Catholic-329 to round out the top four.
Strasburg-Franklin was a place behind Fairbanks with a 337, followed by Garaway-341, Van Buren-342, Kalida-355 and Gilmour Academy-373.
Panther scores were as follows:
-Justin Brackenridge (39th)-82, Alex Crowe (44th)-83, Seth Payne (49th)-85, Travis Brake (53rd)-86 and Aidan Wilson (81st)-97.
Columbus Academy and Wellington respectively were the top two overall finishers.
Lady Cats struggle with Ben Logan
The Lady Cats of North Union teed off against Benjamin Logan for the second time in two days and the results were the same as they fell to their Central Buckeye Conference foe, 174-229, at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.
Maddy Snyder led the charge for the Lady Cats, turning in a nine-hole score of 50. Cami Craft and Katlyn Saunders each tallied a 58 and Grace Swank shot a 63 for the day. Kendra Nicol turned in a 69 on the scorecard, while Lilly Taylor rounded out the team of six with a 70.
The Lady Cats will return to the links Monday when they host Northwestern at Mill Creek Golf course.
