The Triad softball team is still on the hunt for its first win of the season after a 9-0 loss to Northeastern on Friday.
Neither team could put runs on the scoreboard in the first inning.
It didn’t take the Lady Jets long, though, to find their way through Triad pitching.
The Jets tallied runs in the second-through-fifth frames against Triad pitchers Joni Russell and Morgan Alexander.
Alexander gave up six hits to the Jets, while Triad gave a helping hand in the field with four errors.
Russell was tagged with the loss.
The Lady Cardinals had three hits, but couldn’t string together any runs during the loss as they fell to 0-5.

The Jets took a 3-0 4-0 lead in the first frame.
The Jets continued to pour on the runs through the third , jumping out to an 11-0 lead.
Triad tallied a trio of runs in the fourth on RBIs by Ryan Gross, Ayden Spriggs and Derek Bails.
Bails had a solid day at the plate, going two-for-two. He drove in a pair of runs.
The Jets ended the game early with two scores in the bottom of the fifth inning to extend the spread to 10 runs.
The Cardinals worked four pitchers during the loss. Jaden Spors, Zane Robinson, Jalen Nott and Ryan Gross all spent time on the bump, with Robison giving up six earned runs.
