The North Union baseball team dropped a non-conference game against Westerville Central, 11-1, on Tuesday.
The Wildcats struggled with pitching, giving up runs in every inning.
Richie Bolander started on the hill for the Cats.
He worked two innings, giving up two hits and three earned runs.
The Wildcats’ lone run came in the third inning when Trevyn Feasel knocked in Aaron Krebehenne with a single.
That cut NU’s deficit to 3-1.
Caydan Potts took over on the mound for the Wildcats in the bottom of the third and gave up a pair of runs.
Westerville tagged Potts for four more runs in the fourth and fifth for a 9-1 advantage.
Chris Isler took over in the sixth inning and gave up two walks and pair of hits,
In doing so, he surrendered two runs that ended the game by run rule.
Evan Hoffer had a two-for-two day at the plate, while Krebehenne went two-for-three.
North Union is now 8-14 for the season and is scheduled to return to action today at River Valley.
