Managing editor Chad Williamson and reporter Mac Cordell rose to the top of the Pigskin Pickers this week.
Their margin, however, isn’t very big.
Williamson and Cordell both posted records of 8-2 for this past week’s games.
They are now tied for the top with season records of 16-3.
The other three regular Pickers, however, are nipping at their heels.
Sports editor Tim Miller, sports reporter Sam Dillon and publisher Kevin Behrens were just a game off (thanks a lot Bengals) the pace with matching 7-3 efforts.
Miller and Dillon are 15-4 for the season and Behrens stands at 14-5.
This week, the NFL Network picked a doozy of a game for its Thursday night marquee… the Browns vs. the Bengals.
Wonder what the ratings are going to be for that one?
Oh well, at least somebody from Ohio is going to win.
Our guest Pickers are Dave Laslow of Burger King, Dean Cook of Dean Cook Nationwide Insurance, Bob Van Hoose of Van Hoose Garage Doors and Rob Eubanks of Eubanks Electric.

Disclaimers:
Williamson: “All the local teams should have a pretty easy road this week, with the obvious exception of Triad which runs into a hot Fairbanks squad. The college games at this point are a total guess as so many athletes are transferring, opting out, declaring for the draft or getting a 14-day COVID suspension. The pro game stinks, but I’ll go with the Browns just based on roster talent.”
Miller: “I look for Marysville, Fairbanks, NU and JA to win their games this week. The Browns-Bengals?? Yuck! Miami and Louisville is a toss-up.”
Behrens: “Look at Cordell hovering in the top spot early in the season with his huddle buddy Williamson. Can he handle the pressure of being the leader or does he fall like a knife? Also, what does Cordell think about the Battle of Ohio tonight?
Cordell: “As odd as this sounds, I would like to watch the Cleveland/Cincinnati game. I think the Browns will run the ball and can stop the run. Combine that with a short week for an inexperienced quarterback and I think Cleveland gets the win.”
Dillon: “The local games are pretty straightforward this week. North Union needs to return to the win column after a tough loss last week. I believe they have the talent, now they need to find away to put all that talent together for the sake of the team. Miami vs. Louisville is a coin flip, who ever scores last will win.”
Laslow: “Good luck to the local teams!”
Cook: “Good luck to the local teams!”
Van Hoose: “Good luck to the local teams!”
Eubanks: “Good luck to the local teams!”
