Reiser linksmen finish first, second; Crowe is third
Several local youth linksmen had strong performances on Wednesday at the Marysville Golf Club.
William Reiser of Marysville captured top honors in the 12 and under division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association event.
Reiser shot a 46 for the nine-hole competition.
Anderson Reiser of Marysville tied with Buckeye Valley’s Grayson Keller for second place with matching scores of 50.
Grady Wisecup of Fairbanks was sixth with a 63, while North Union’s Jenson Stover was 12th with a 76.
Alexander and Andrew Crowe of Fairbanks respectively placed third and sixth in the 16-18 division.
Golfers in that bracket played 18 holes.
Alexander Crowe carded a 75, while Andrew tallied an 82.
Spencer Keller of Galion won the division with a 70.
Chase Brackenridge of Fairbanks was sixth in the 13-15 age bracket with a score of 92 for 18 holes.
Tayden Peck of North Union tied for 16th with Jace Boyce of Olentangy Berlin. They both shot scores of 106.
Isaac Dillon of Elgin and Nicholas McMullen of Galion won the age bracket with tying scores of 78.
The Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association will hold its next competition in Kenton on July 2.
