Those interested may tour the demonstration gardens at the Agricultural Center and five of the most awe-inspiring residential gardens and that Union County has to offer at Union County in Bloom, 2021 Union County Master Gardener Tour of Gardens.
The self-guided tour will be held rain or shine on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Map and garden locations will be provided with ticket purchase.
Day of tickets can be purchased at the Agricultural Center, 18000 Route 4, with exact change or check.
Gardens may be visited in any order. A variety of garden settings will spark ideas that residents can replicate in their own gardens.
A few examples of the gardens that will inspire are a wildflower prairie area, a koi pond, a vineyard, a tree preserve, vegetables grown in repurposed containers, native plants that provide food for pollinators, fruit trees and lovely sun and shade perennial gardens.
The Union County Master Gardeners, a not-for-profit organization, promoting environmentally sound, research-based gardening practices primarily to the residents of Union County under the auspices of The Ohio State University Extension of Union County.
COVID protocols will be followed at each site.
