Monarch Nursing and Rehab offers new level of person-centered care

Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehab, 730 Milcrest Drive, formerly Milcrest Nursing Home, announces its multi-million dollar renovation and addition project is complete.
The facility is now accepting residents at the renovated facility and add a private room addition. In the process, the facility added 18 more rooms to the campus.
During the past year, Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehab underwent several significant improvements to the interior of the building in order to improve the quality of care residents receive.
This included the installation of a new resident monitoring system, updated corridors, lounges and common areas, updated resident rooms, purchase of new kitchen equipment and many building structural improvements.
Additionally, Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehab’s new addition project includes a brand new, state-of-the-art therapy room, beauty salon, front lobby, nurses’ station, department offices and a new dining room featuring restaurant style dining. With a desire to serve people, facility officials say the want to ensure that housing, care and services align with the expectations of residents and their families. Since taking over ownership in August 2017, Monarch’s main focus has been to keep quality healthcare in Marysville.
With the new skilled rehabilitation unit now open, Monarch can provide the an environment where residents’ rehabilitation goes smoothly and quickly. The rehabilitation and therapy teams design customized rehab plans to increase resident independence and ability to manage daily activities and skills.
The staff creates a positive environment that helps residents recover faster and gets them back to their homes sooner. Through exercise, pain management, the latest technologies and cognitive/retraining programs, residents are able to increase strength, mobility and endurance, which enhances quality of life.
