As part of the plan, engineers considered natural growth as well as projected development to determine what areas will likely need attention to keep goods and people moving smoothly in the city for the next two decades. Walt, who is active in the community and school district, knew the basics. His father, William Paul “Bill” Henderson, was born in Western New York on Nov. 19, 1919. According to unofficial results from the Union County Board of Elections, as of Wednesday morning, it appears as though Steven Wolfe, who ran as a write-in candidate, has defeated incumbent Aaron Carpenter for Marysville’s Ward One Council seat. A Pennsylvania man is dead and another man is in custody following a police chase Thursday that ended near 19906 Bear Swamp Road. The two men stopped in the area and fled on foot. The driver apparently committed suicide while the other man was taken into custody. The Union County Coroner’s Office has ruled that it does not have enough information to make a determination on how two women died, in unconnected cases. The coroner’s office recently released reports on the death of Joyce Wickline, whose body was found July 29, and Roxanne Wood, who died Aug. 25. The deaths of the two women were unrelated. More than 26,000 names in Ohio, 149 in Union County, have been purged from the voter rolls just weeks ahead of the November election. On Sept. 26, the Secretary of State’s office removed 26,600 names from the state’s list of registered voters. Brandon Clay, director of the Union County Board of Elections, confirmed that 149 of those removed were registered in Union County. Marysville schools were closed Friday as the district dealt with transportation issues. Shortly after 7 p.m., Thursday, district officials began notifying parents of the closure. “Due to staff shortages and unexpected absences due to illness in our transportation department, Marysville Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, October 27,” according to a social media announcement. “We have been dealing with a critical staffing level, off and on, all year,” Superintendent Diane Allen said, explaining that bus drivers are routinely driving multiple routes.
